Malaysia Seeks Deeper Sports, Youth Relations with China

(MENAFN) Malaysian Minister of Youth and Sports Hannah Yeoh Tseow Suan announced on Sunday that the country is eager to deepen its cooperation with China in the areas of youth development and sports, emphasizing a commitment to strengthening bilateral relations through enhanced people-to-people engagement.

Addressing attendees at the Malaysia-China friendship run in Sabah state, Yeoh praised China’s consistent excellence in sports, noting that Malaysia continues to benefit from shared experiences and joint training initiatives with its Asian counterpart.

"China is always known as one of the key (sports) leaders in Asia, even at the Olympic level," she said.

The event, held in Sabah and organized by the Malaysia-China Friendship Association Sabah, brought together over 5,000 participants. Among them were young people from both nations, local families, and staff members from Chinese companies operating in Malaysia.
